Koshi Gas Udhyog, established in B.S 2043 Falgun in the Morang district, holds the distinction of being Nepal’s second LPG bottling and distribution plant. Over the past 32 years, it has grown to become one of the largest LPG bottling plants in the nation, filling and distributing around 25,000 metric tons of LPG annually.

The company has consistently prioritized state-of-the-art technological solutions to maintain high standards in both quality and quantity, earning remarkable loyalty from customers. Currently, Koshi Gas Udhyog boasts 400 distributors and dealers, stretching from Jhapa to Siraha in states 1 and 2, and sells approximately 1.8 million cylinders each year.

Koshi Gas has significantly improved human comfort and social progress in Nepal by meeting the energy needs of both commercial and residential users across all socioeconomic divisions through LPG access. For the past 25 years, it has been instrumental in reducing dependence on kerosene and wood fire, promoting the use of cleaner LPG. This shift addresses health and environmental hazards associated with traditional fuel sources, continually benefiting both urban and rural communities.

Koshi Gas actively supports policies that benefit the LPG industry, recognizing the positive impact on the nation. With 60% of rural and 20% of urban households still relying on traditional wood fire, LPG is the second most used cooking source. Koshi Gas works with policymakers to change this, aiming to eradicate wood fires from households across the country, promoting cleaner energy alternatives.
