Kapan Multiple Campus

Kapan multiple campus was established in 2012, it is a community-owned higher educational institution nestled in the heart of Budhanilkantha Municipality Kathmandu. This institution emerged as a beacon of hope for local students who previously had to rely on public colleges for higher education after grade 12. The establishment of KMC was a collective effort of local residents, political leaders, academicians, and well-wishers who envisioned a community-based educational platform.

KMC prides itself on being a multifarious, multicultural, and diversified platform with a co-education system. The institution firmly believes in negating any form of discrimination and views each student as a valuable social entity. Despite its relatively short existence, KMC has quickly become a center of attraction and attention, offering a sense of unity and inclusivity. 

KMC is committed to maintaining its historical credibility and the quality of education it offers. It plans to achieve this through several development initiatives:

Before KMC's establishment in 2012, there was no community-based institution of higher education in Budhanilkantha municipality. The campus started its journey at Baluddwar Secondary School with less than 250 students. In 2016, it moved to a rented building at Shivadhara Chowk Kapan. Thanks to the relentless efforts of the Campus Management Committee members, political leaders, and Budhanilkantha municipality, KMC now operates from its own building at Aakasedhara, Kapan.

The Kapan Multiple Campus (KMC) envisions becoming a prestigious community-based institution of higher education in Nepal. It is committed to academic excellence, offering access to affordable educational opportunities across multiple disciplines. KMC aims to serve the people of Nepal and continuously strives to become a model community-based university for the Bagmati Province.

Mission

Established by the community, KMC is dedicated to providing affordable access to higher education in various disciplines for the people of Kathmandu and beyond. The campus aspires to become an educational hub in Nepal's capital city. It places regular emphasis on academic autonomy and program extension in both technical and non-technical disciplines.
