Gaushala Distribution Center is an electricity distribution facility under Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), serving the Gaushala region in Mahottari District, Madhesh Province. It plays a crucial role in ensuring a stable and efficient power supply to residential, commercial, and industrial consumers. The center is responsible for maintaining and upgrading the local electricity infrastructure, addressing power outages, and implementing energy efficiency programs to enhance service reliability.
Gaushala Distribution Center operates 65 km of 33 kV transmission lines and 290.64 km of 11 kV distribution lines. It manages two substations with a combined capacity of 16+8+3 MVA and serves 52,376 consumers. NEA has also taken initiatives to reduce electricity losses and improve service quality in the region. Through modernization and infrastructure expansion, the center aims to enhance electricity access and support Nepal’s overall energy development.
