Budhanilkantha Secondary School

Budhanilkantha Secondary School, located in Narayansthan, Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu, Nepal, has been a leading public educational institution since its establishment in 1972. The school is affiliated with the National Examinations Board (NEB), CTEVT, and Cambridge Assessment International Education programs. With the approval of the Ministry of Education, Budhanilkantha School offers a wide range of academic streams, including GCE A level Non-Science, GCE A level Science, Ten Plus Two (+2) Science, Diploma in Civil Engineering, and Diploma in Computer Engineering.

The school has various departments catering to different academic disciplines. These departments include Nepali, English, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Integrated Science, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Health & PE, Computer Science, and Arts. Each department focuses on providing comprehensive education and fostering the growth of students in their respective fields.

Budhanilkantha School is a fully residential English medium school that was founded through the collaboration of the Government of Nepal (GoN) and the Government of the United Kingdom (UK). The school is managed under the Public Trust, with the Ministry of Education as the main trustee. The Board of Trustees and the School Management Committee (SMC) are chaired by the Education Secretary and the Joint Secretary, respectively. Additionally, the Society of Ex-Budhanilkantha Students (SEBS) and Friends of Budhanilkantha School (FOBS) actively support the welfare of the school.
