The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Koshi Provincial Office, Biratnagar plays a key role in managing electricity distribution across 24 Distribution Centers in 14 districts within Koshi Province. It ensures efficient power supply, minimizes distribution losses, and enhances service delivery for the region. As of 2079 Ashad, the office reported energy sales of 13,96,200 MWH, generating NRs. 13,094.178 million in revenue, and serving 9,06,838 consumers. The office works on maintaining infrastructure, expanding transmission capacity, and modernizing power grids to meet the increasing demand.
The electricity distribution loss in Province No. 1 stands at 11.72%, while its contribution to NEA's overall system is 16.19%. The provincial office is focused on improving efficiency, reducing losses, and ensuring reliable electricity access for residential and industrial consumers.
